It is in the small village of Monthelie, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune that the Potinet-Ampeau estate is located. Since 2003, the 10 hectares of vines have been in the hands of Vincent, grandson of Chantal Durrieu. From Puligny-Montrachet to Pommard, via Volnay, Meursault, Auxey-Duresses and of course Monthelie, the Potinet-Ampeau estate offers 18 different appellations (10 whites and 8 reds). The common thread of these vintages? An artisanal approach, a deep respect for the know-how of the elders and wines made for ageing. Vincent makes it a point of honour to always respect the terroir in its most singular form. Plot by plot, depending on the soil, the weather and the vintage, he favours gentle vinification and ageing. For him, there is no question of intervening excessively or shaking up a wine: Burgundy is above all a land of patience..
