The Ginestra Casa Maté is one of the top examples of Barolo to be found in Monforte d'Alba. The vineyard is at an altitude of between 300 and 350 meters with a south-facing exposition on loose packed clay-limestone soils. The wine is majestic, displaying lots of flashy flavors in youth but has the ability to age into something magnificent. This is truly one of the great Barolo wines made in the region!
