Another impressive Pomerol emerging from the Oenologue team of Thomas Duclos, the 2018 Clos René is opulent and outgoing on the nose with blackberry, boysenberry, truffle and cedar aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, plenty of cedar-infused black fruit with cracked black pepper and bay leaf towards the well defined finish. There is a touch of rusticity here, but bags of charm and it will age with style.
